Before you can learn to drive...

You will need:

  • To be 17 years old.
  • A provisional driving licence. You can apply for this up to three months before your 17th birthday. To get a licence, go to the Post Office and collect two application forms - a D1 and a photolicence application D750 form. Send both forms to the DVLA at Swansea along with identification photographs and the required documents.
